You should take 1 pill every six hour 4 times a day . 1 hour before you eat or 2 hours after you eat.. but if it causes nausea you can take with food it just takes longer to absorb. . You should take for a least 7 days better if you take for 10 days ...hope this helps ## Thanks for sharing this dosing information on Ampicillin. I just wanted to build off what was mentioned and add a couple details for other readers on here. Even though a 7-10 day regimen seems to be most prevalent for typical bacterial infections, I have heard of cases where people are on antibiotics like this for several weeks or more at a time. It all depends on what type of infection you might be dealing with and how severe it is, but I think it should be left up to the doctor to determine what length of time a patie...

Can it cure scalp condition? ## Hi Luis, Pentrexyl contains the active ingredient Ampicillin, which is an antibiotic that's used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Depending on the cause of your scalp condition and whether there's an actual infection present, this medication may be beneficial. However you'd ultimately have to have your scalp examined first in order to be sure you aren't taking an antibiotic for no real reason. Have you seen a doctor about this? If so, what did s/he say?

Is ampicillina used for thootach ## Hi Kenisha, From what I understand, if the toothache is being caused by a bacterial infection, then yes, an antibiotic like Ampicillin should work fine. In most cases one tablet is usually taken four times a day, every 6 hours. However, I would still recommend following your doctors instructions for proper dosing and administration of the drug, since bacteria can become resistant when it's not fully eradicated the first time around. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Ampicillin Details I hope this helps!

I have a very small tattoo that is infected ...I was wondering if ampicillin can help it ## Hi Black pearl, u can't just use any type of antibiotic 4 any infection. It takes certain antibiotics 2 take care of different infections. Besides, u need 2 start a new round of antibiotics 4 a certain amount of days. Only a doctor would know what kind u need and. 4 how long. I used neosporin when I got my tatoo . It's an OTC first aid antibiotic cream. U can get it at any pharmacy or Walmart. Hope it gets better. Let me know how u make out. ## I really think Cats68 is on the right track here, usually a topical ointment is best, because a tattoo doesn't go deep in the body and usually doesn't require a systemic antibiotic. Are you sure it's infected and not just irritated and ...

I'm trying to find out what the Spanish names are for the medications I take. Will be moving to Central America soon. ## Hi, Lynn! Can you post back with a list of the medications you are taking? If you do so, I'll gladly look them up for you to check the Spanish names. Some are very similar and some aren't. For example, the antibiotic Ampicillin is just Ampicilina, so it's a pretty simple one.

I have flu like symtons and a co worker gave me Ambidrin Ampicilina 500 mg she got in Mexico they are blue or maybe grey & white in color are they safe to take ? ## To my understanding, antibiotics (including Ampicillin) will not work for colds, flu's, or viruses; only certain types of bacterial infections. If you don't know whether or not you really have an infection, taking this may or may not even do any good at all; (especially if you don't have a full 7-10 days worth that is usually prescribed to patients for serious infections). It's also not very safe to take other people's prescriptions, since there's no real way of knowing how you'll end up responding to it You can learn more about this drug on the page for Ampicillin Details I hope this info hel...
