Paxlovid for Covid

Has anyone taken Paxlovid for Covid? I was prescribed this medication and could only take 2 of the 5 day prescription due to the awful side effects. Number one was the medication made me feel worse than I felt before taking it. Number two.... It literally felt and tasted like someone was continuously spraying hairspray down my throat for hours until the dose wore off. For me, the side effects were much too harsh and bothersome and unfortunately, couldn't complete the 5 day prescription. Has anyone else had any experience taking this medication? ## I was prescribed Paxlovid for Covid in August. Within 3 hours, I felt like a new woman! Seriously, the cough lessened up, the fatigue lessened up and I could breathe again. The milder symptoms did persist for about a month or so though. Th...

Famciclovir for veterinary use

Looking for a place where I can order generic Famvir (Famciclovir) over the counter. Silly as may sound, I have several cats/kittens (rescue) with kitty colds (feline herpes virus) & best treatment is Famvir. Literally amazing how quickly & well it works, often without need to give antibiotics (since FHV is a viral illness, but it can lead to secondary infections in which case antibiotics may be warranted). Since many know I do rescue, several send me their left over meds commonly used on felines, however at moment none happen to have any Famvir (Famcyclovir). My vet has written scripts several times in past without need to bring in for actual visit, as he is well aware I do rescue & my only income is SSDI, however his wife who manages office is a stickler for enforcing offi...

What are the symptoms of Coronavirus? ## My husband works at a hospital, he's been a radiographer for almost 25 years, now, they are told to watch for fever, dry cough, fatigue/tiredness, and shortness of breath. If anyone comes into the ER experiencing these symptoms, they have to gear up for protection, and isolate the person, just in case. As was already stated, the CDC has a great information page on it to help the public. This is the information used by ERs in the U.S. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Fever. Cough. Shortness of breath. This is from the CDC. Stay home even if you don't feel ill- everyone needs to stay home so we can flatten the curve. Less people will die if we all stay home. ## I would like to get the latest information on coronary virus symptoms ...

Clorixan Information

I purchased clorixan 200 ml in Mexico for cold sores. I take one pill as soon as I feel a sore developing. It has worked so well that I would like to keep them on hand. What exactly is clorixan? ## Clorixan contains Acyclovir, it is an antiviral that is commonly used to treat most herpes simplex viruses, both genital, and oral, which is why it works so well. I take it myself, twice a day, every day, as a preventative, because one of the medications I am on can cause horrible cold sore outbreaks, which landed me in the ER several times, with several swelling in and around my mouth. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, diarrhea, taste disturbance and drowsiness. It is available in the U.S. by prescription, so you might wan...

xarelto and tamiflu

I've been on xarelto for a year because of heart afib. Because of the flu I've been given tamiflu. Checking online shows a study where there were many bad interactions because of this combination. Is this really the case? ## I am in the same boat today. Did you ever get a response to your question? Thanks! ## Hi Jim & Sally, While I personally haven't come across the types of reviews concerning bad drug interactions between Xarelto and Tamiflu, I did look up the drug combination at the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool) to see what all the fuss is about. However, no drug interactions or contraindications were listed. Although this does not necessarily mean that no interactions exist, it is my understanding the two are generally regard...
