Looking for a Dr. in Northern Kentucky or greater Cincinnati area that will prescribe xanax while taking methadone. I would prefer a dr that would prescribe both, and be willing to take ky medical card or medicaid. but if i could at least find a dr that will just accept taking methadone and still prescribe something for extreme anxiety along with sleep disorder bi-polor type 2 and the other usual disorders that accompany that type illnesses that would be great!!! If i have to I will take a Dr. that has some time of self pay. I think that's where I don't bill or use any type of insurance i pay cash per visit and that's fine with me. I have been on Xanax for 15yrs. New provider doesnt want to keep prescribing it, why is he telling me its going to be taken off the market so I should back down now !!! WHAT???? IS THIS TRUE? Dr states they are equal. 1 mg clonazapam is to 1 mg of Xanax . Totally different He stopped 2 mgs a day without any concern of withdrawal because he gave me 3 mg a day of clonazapam. Anxiety has doubled and it does not take effect as quick ## I've only taken 2 Klonopin in my life in an attempt to possibly switch over and I found that same near instant relief from anxiety without feeling weird like when I tried Ativan. I am looking for a doctor in wichita ks that can prescribe xanax, valium or kolonipin. I am so sick and tired of this search that will fail most likely. Twenty years ago I started using opiates. Twelve yrs ago I was able to get on methadone. Being diagnosed hep c positive 12 yrs back also. I have not been able to treat it, no health insurance. Took 1 and a half pills of Xanax on Monday afternoon. I do not have a clue how many milligrams that is though. And I never took any before that and just took my drug test on Friday afternoon. It was a urine test. Should i pass? ## The half-life of Alprazolam is about 12 hours (more or less). To be safe, it should basically be out of your system within a few days after taking it, especially if you did not take any before or after Monday. So I *think* you should be in good shape, but that obviously depends on a variety of other factors, such as how sensitive the test is, the way your body metabolizes things, etc. Hope this helps. I have been addicted to pain meds and have done great on suboxone, until I have my psychotic episodes then nothing helps, and can't find any dr. in kentucky who will prescribe any kind of anti-anxiety meds with suboxone. I just recently moved to Vegas from St. George, UT and coincidentally, my primary physician, who was prescribing me xanax for my anxiety disorder (social anxiety, panic attacks, you name it) passed away about 3 months after moving to Vegas. I was prescribed Prozac & Xanax 10 years ago by my psychiatrist for depression & severe panic attacks. He started me on 1mg 3 times a day. Around Dec 2005 he increased my daily dose to 1 mg - 4 times a day. I have been a patient of his now for 10 years where I see him every 3 months. Through the years, there has been a few times were I had to call to reschedule my appointment and a couple of times he had to do the same. I switched from CVS Mylan as they were not effective. I found a local pharmacy that dispenses Greenstone. The first time I had my script filled they were excellent. But now, they aren't even touching me. I don't understand it. Someone gave me a .5 alprazolam and that worked! I don't know who makes it. I feel crazy because everyone says Greenstone is best. I called the pharma company and told them. I am sending them in my pills for quality control. I only take as directed. So, I feel they should work. I even wanted to go to .5 and not .1 because I never want to become immune. Is it just me. Why would the .5 work so well on me andnot .1 of greenstone. I feel like I'm crazy or something.
