can you tell me what this pill is? Small Round Peach Pill With The Letters Bi Over 5 and apo on other side ## I can't be 100% certain, because some of these Canadian Apotex markings are difficult to track down, however, from their site, I think this might be a 5mg Bisacodyl tablet. Bisacodyl is a stimulant laxative, which may cause side effects, such as nausea, stomach pain and abdominal cramping. Is anyone familiar with these tablets? ## It’s Apo-Bisoprolol 5mg it’s a heart medication that eases strain on the heart. I take this.

Just prescribed linzess by my pcp , took it for 2 days with no results . My doctor directed me to take only when needed! Which contradicted the prescribing info! I have had problems for over 20 years , have tried everything and still no luck! Any suggestions would be appreciated! ## Hi Jill, I was diagnosed with Colonic Inertia and I am unable to have a bowel movement on my own. I started with the low dose of Linzess and it did nothing. Then my Gastroenterologist ordered the higher dose and I could not stay off the commode as the diarrhea was terrible. I am now back on the low dose and it seems to be causing severe diarrhea. I would give it more time and see what happens. If I do not take it I become so bloated and have a lot of flatus and nausea. You can also try Phillips MOM at night....

I have been on the 145 dose of Linzess for several years now, and it was like a miracle drug. No side effects, and for the first time in 30 years, regular BMs. The past few months have not been so great, though. Constipation, bloating and cramps have returned. I saw my Gastro a few weeks ago, and she upped my dosage to the 290. No change. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? So frustrating! ## Unfortunately, many people have reported the same experience, though the amount of time have varied. Are you making sure to take it with a full glass of water, at least half an hour, before eating or drinking anything else, as directed by the FDA? The bloating and cramps can be side effects of this medication, but it usually causes diarrhea, rather than constipation. Are you on any other ...

Can I take 2 tabs of pot chor a once ## hi woody why do you want to take 2? 2-20mg=40mg which is a commonly prescribed dose, but too much potassium can be just as bad as not enough. if your on water pills and its causing leg cramps you may need a higher dose, you should check with your doc. ## I know it's sometimes easier to take two doses of potassium at once, but it is not a good idea. Your body doesn't store potassium, so you'll have too much for part of the day and none for the rest of the day. That defeats the purpose of two doses. If you double-up on the liquid form of potassium, it may act like a very strong, fast laxative. Your body will rid itself of too much liquid potassium. It's annoying & you will not have the potassium you need. Potassium is a serious d...

how long does it take to work ## Hello, Oscar! How are you? Linzess is not actually intended to be used for weight loss, so there is no time frame I can give you for this. It is used to treat symptoms of IBS that are associated with constipation. And while that may cause weight loss, in some instances, it can be dangerous to try to lose weight via giving yourself diarrhea, since it creates the risk of malnourishment and dehydration. Common side effects to this drug may include nausea, dizziness and stomach pain. Was it prescribed for weight loss? ## I just received a sample from the dr to help with my weight loss, however, I am shocked at ALL the side affects from people of.horrible weight gain! I am confused, can you please help explain? ## I have IBS. Been taking linzesss for a month....

Found this pill in my kid's pocket before doing laundry and we want to know what kind of pill it is? ## Hi Tammy, Does your pill look anything like the one depicted in the following NDC link? - 0603-5482 Is the V cursive-like? - If so, this may be the logo for Qualitest (formerly known as Vintage Pharmaceuticals). Is there a score line separating the 08 | 05? Thanks for any feedback you might have on this. I haven't located any other pills that resemble it more closely as of yet. ## It's actually Senna, a stool softener. I was prescribed this after giving birth to my son. I found it in my house a year and a half later and was looking it up online by the numbers and initials when I found your post. ## Found light orange with 0805 one side and AV on the other. Can you tell me w...

what does the terraferon do in a pregnant woman ## This pill is a multivitamin used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency. Multivitamins are generally regarded as safe as long as you don't down the entire bottle. Possible side effects of Terraferron can include any of the following: Constipation and diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. If you take normal doses as recommended by your doctor or as stated on the bottle, you're likelihood of experiencing these minor effects are much slimmer. If you have any more questions or comments to add, please post back so I can further assist you. ## Can terraferon make you fat?im not pregnant, and I am taking it OD as supplement ## To my knowledge, Terraferon (or any multivitamin for that matter) will not make you fat. I eat very clean, rarely at restaurants. I have been on Linzess (Lazy bowels) for years, been on synthroid (subclinical hypothyroidism) for several months now along with simvastatin for high cholesterol (hereditary). All blood work shows perfect numbers. I have done several variations with my macros monitored by a trainer. I have not been able to drop any weight in 3 years. No one understands, not even the doctors. I am a personal trainer my self and work out 5-6 days a week. I’m about to stop all prescribed meds because I don’t know if they may be causing the issue. I feel like I’ve been beating my head against a brick wall! Any suggestions? ## Synthroid has been known to cause increased appetite, but both the Linzess, and the Simvastatin are known to cause weight los...

My boyfriend is taking a small, round, white pill, with SP printed on one side and an un scored, blank back. He says they're "legal steroids." Pretty much need to know if I should be dumping his ass. ## Hello, Beebee! How are you? I haven't been able to find a listing for anything that matches this description, so I can tell you that it isn't a U.S. prescription medication. And that is the only way to legally be taking anabolic steroids in the U.S. They are only available under certain very strict medical criteria. This is most likely some type of over the counter product, but at this time, I'm not sure what it contains. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## If it had SP with no o...

I'm a stroke survivor who, post stroke, suffers from extremely irregular bowel movements sometimes going 5 days without a BM, I don't have pain or bloating, I do suffer from acne breakouts ocassionally which is kinda embarrassing for a man in his 50's. Testing provided a diagnosis of 'slow motility', i.e. part of my brain injury from the stroke affected the function of my digestive system) I was prescribed Linzess 290 mcgm daily to address this problem and to restore BM regularity. I only take the medication on Mondays and Fridays as i work from home on those days and my home office is next door to the toilet, otherwise I run the risk of a bowel evacuation at the office which would be humiliating. I take the medication on an empty stomach with a 12oz glass of water a...

The 290 gave me severe diarrhea and cramps but lower soaw no bm I tried waiting a day then take again had horrible round hard stool a few of them passed only with manipulation and bleeding so I took same day the 290 and nothing but can feel it there making it difficult to sit or walk. ## I'm sorry, perhaps I am not understanding you. You said you did not have a BM, but also say it gave you severe diarrhea, and diarrhea is having a BM, even though it is runny and likely not your usual consistency. Can you please clarify? Did you make sure to take it correctly, which is a half hour, before eating, or drinking anything else? Diarrhea can be a normal side effect of Linzess, along with nausea, cramping, and flatulence.

i took a dose of miralax saturday, then another on sunday with no results along with stool softeners that my doctor gave me for post operation. someone told me about a faster acting laxative that i took sunday night and i finally had relief. the problem is it is now wednesday night and i have been going to the bathroom every 2 hours and have loose stools. when will it stop. after every meal also i have to go immediatly. ## At this point, it is just going to take time for it to process out of your body, so things return to normal. It is likely that you should have given the Miralax a longer amount of time to work, some laxatives can take 48 to 72 hours, and if they haven't worked by then, you are told to consult a doctor. The Miralax FAQ on their website even lists that it can take 1...

How or what does this web page help or do for parents trying to find out what pills are? I caught my kid with an orange round pill imprinted with S35 on one side and nothing on the other side and our wonderful Internet could not lead me to a page describing what exactly this pill is. They can start making illicit orange round S35 pills and get away with selling it because we don't even know what it is as a legal pill. The next step will be opiates looking like a dark-colored Advil but with coating. Even come in the form of Tylenol but a 50 is placed in capsules. I've seen it. ## There are those of us who can research pill identifications, side effect details, and other information to help people, such as yourself, that are having problems trying to find information on their own....

I have used Enemas every since I was six years old. When constipated I will take a stool softener. If no bowel movement on third day I will resort to a two or three quart Enema. I almost always have good results. Sometime will follow with a second salt Enema. Is there any harm for enjoying the results achieved? I do this every two or three weeks. Is there anything wrong with this practice? Any suggestions?

I have been on Linzess for over a year now, and happy enough with the results. I had been covered through Blue Cross/Blue Shield of NC. There was NO problem getting the rx filled. Now I am covered through BC/BS of Minnesota. I received a letter denying the rx stating that I am not eligible because I don't suffer from active cancer pain! What the heck are they talking about?!?! Has anyone else run into this kind of issue with their insurance?? ## Appeal it and they might. Your doctor may have to do a prior auth, but I would fight it. I have before with other meds and other insurance and it works. ## Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I have already appealed and I have still been denied. ## That is very odd, since Linzess is used to treat IBS with constipation, and idiopathic chroni...

Is Rebamipide is best taken with meals or with out meals? ## Need to know if Rebamipide is Prescription Drug or an OTC? ## I didn't find any specific instructions listed, but since it is supposed to help GI problems, it is probably best to take it just before a meal, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. NIH studies list its typical side effects as possibly including constipation, bloating, nausea, and vomiting. Victior, it may vary depending on where you live. Can you post back with your general location? ## Should Rebamipide be taken before or after meals?

I want to see a picture of this pill. ## Hi Mary jo, I don't have a photo at my disposal, but I found a tablet matching your description from this site's NDC page. I can confirm that it is an orange laxative tablet with the imprint RP122, NDC 49035-756 (EQUATE FIBER THERAPY 500 MG ORAL TABLET), manufactured by Wal-Mart. I confirmed my finding with DailyMed too. Active ingredient: - Methylcellulose Inactive Ingredients: - Adipic Acid - Calcium Carbonate - Crospovidone - FD&C Yellow No. 6 - Magnesium Stearate - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Polysorbate 80 - Silicon Dioxide Out of curiosity, were you just wondering exactly what your pill is? Is that why you wanted to see a picture?
