Clozpine Withdrawal
UpdatedI gradually reduced and totally stopped Clozapine about 6 weeks ago and since that time I have had bad physical side effects: pain above right ear and in jaw with lots of grating sounds when I chew, sweating like you would not believe when hungry and of course the insomnia. I ws on Clozapine for roughly 17 years but it turns out that I was misdiagnosed and do not and never did have schizophrenia although did have psychosis caused by something else.
I was wondering if anyone here has any thoughts

Hello, Dragon! How are you? I'm sorry that you've been so miserable.
Those are typical withdrawal effects for suddenly stopping such a medication. You may also experience rebound depression and anxiety, as listed by the FDA.
It is really a matter of time, after being on it for so many years, you may continue to experience these symptoms for a month to 6 weeks, before they go away.
Can anyone else that's withdrawal from this medication chime in?
Re: Verwon (# 1)
