My seven-year-old son recently experienced acute stomach pain, accompanied by rashes on his legs, which led us to admit him to a hospital. Prior to this, he had vomited a few times but did not have a fever. He managed to pass stool after being given an enema before his hospital admission. What color of the Allegra d pill is the histamine side and which color is the pseudoephedrine side ## They have never really stated such, it is highly possible that the answer is neither and the medications are thoroughly mixed between both colors. Have you tried asking your pharmacist?

Is The White Side Of Allegra D Or Tan Pseudoephedrine ## I haven't been able to find any information that specifies, it is possible that the answer is neither, that may just be how they designed the pill to look and both active ingredients may be evenly dispersed through both sides. Does anyone have more information on this?

I am unable to get any antibiotics and a doctor has suggested using allegra D for my strep throat as he says it will work just as well.. can someone confirm that this is the case or if the strep will just get worse and continue until I take some antibiotics to knock it out???? Thanks ## Ummm...no! Strep throat is caused by an infection and requires an actual antibiotic to resolve, there are no antibiotics in any of the Allegra formulations. The only thing Allegra-D may do for you is to relieve some of the symptoms, though I find that to be unlikely, since it is used to treat allergies.

Is the generic for Allegra D ( 60/120 mg) still made and is it a prescription medication? ## Hi Bud, The generic name for Allegra D is Fexofenadine + Pseudoephedrine; and from what I could gather, it is still manufactured, but only available with your doctor's prescription. I'm not sure why this is (being that Allegra D is now available OTC), so you'd probably have to contact your doctor for more details on that. I also found additional information stating that it may have already become an over-the-counter medication as of this year (I don't know however if this statement applies to the generic version or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't): "Allegra-D is a combination product containing fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine in strengths of 60/120mg and 180/240...

i purchased some allegra d from over seas they have come in foil packaging and are large round tablets yellow on one side and white on the other they say nothing on the pill but do say 120mg fexofenadine and 180mg psuedoephidrine sulfate usp i have not seen these ones before and got then because they are cheaper than most of the rest can you please tell me if they are the right ones or not ## With no markings on the tablets, I can't tell you anything about them, I'm sorry. This is one of the hazards of ordering from foreign sources that aren't FDA approved, they are not regulated like companies approved to sell in the U.S. and you have no way of knowing what you might receive.
